Meet the Staff 2018

Glenn Jordan
Tour Director

Upon returning from each of my fourteen trips with The Grand Western Tour, I never failed to realize that I'd just lived one of the most positive stretches of the year. Thanks to all of you for making it possible.  I've spent over 25 years teaching middle school, the past 17 at Western Rockingham Middle School, in Madison, North Carolina.  Over the years, I've taught seventh and eighth grade social studies, math and science.  I also coach track and field.  I enjoy long, daily walks with my 82-pound pit bull.  I also enjoy history, music, politics, sports and gazing at Kansas wheat fields through a bus window, but not always in that order. I look forward to the summer!

Nathan Ziglar

This will be my 4th Grand Western Tour.  I graduated from Appalachian State with a BA in History Education and graduated from UNCG with a Masters of School Administration.  I taught high school Social Studies for 10 years, most of which has been with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, and coached several sports. Currently, I am an Assistant Principal at Moss Elementary School, Reidsville, NC.  When I’m not working you can find me fly fishing or at App State football games.  I am always up for a discussion involving history and politics.

Josh Madison

I graduated from Appalachian State with a BA in Elementary Education, however I landed a job teaching 7th grade science at Western Rockingham Middle School where I have been for 5 years. I coach football and baseball, as well as serve as the schools Digital Learning Coach, Energy Specialist and a member of the Crisis Team. In my spare time I enjoy relaxing in my Eno hammock, watching sporting events and playing video games with friends!

Amber Wilson

I was raised in Denver, NC and I am a 2012 graduate of Appalachian State University and have taught math for 6 years at West Forsyth High School in Winston Salem. I also coach cross country and track and field. My specialty coaching is with the High Jump.  I have coached two students to the State Championship.  This will be my 4th tour.  I love traveling, hiking, and spending time with family.

Kristen Robinson

I am from Salisbury, NC, and a 6th grade math teacher at Southeast Middle School. I also coach softball and volleyball. Before I became a teacher, I gained a black belt in American Open Style Karate. I have an Associates Degree in math and science, along with a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sign Language.

Haley Kidd

I graduated from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I teach Seventh grade social studies with Knox County Schools, Knoxville, TN.  I have also completed additional training in working with children to enhance their self-esteem, reduce discipline problems, and develop students’ social skills and character virtues in addition to increasing academic achievement.

Bus Drivers

Howard Klein has worked at Holiday since 2011; but, has been driving motorcoaches since 1996. He grew up in the Pennsylvania area and lived in NJ for most of his adult life, until relocating to NC. He is a great driver and well-versed in lots of metropolitan areas.  Howard knows pizza and will be your pizza aficionado.
Ray White has lived in the Randolph County, NC area his whole life. He has been in the motorcoach industry since 1985. He came on board with Holiday in 2004 while still working full-time as a truck driver. He became a full-time driver with Holiday in 2016 and loves being on the road.
Howard and Ray both enjoy driving all kinds of groups, especially youth groups. Both also relax by riding their motorcycles when they are not behind the wheel of a motorcoach.
