The travelers have been gone for 33 days, driven over 9,000 miles and been in 25 different states as well as made lifelong friendships and seen a great majority of this beautiful country we call home, the United States of America. <p><br></p><p>Loading crew loaded the bus at 3:15 a.m. and the hugs, tears and stories began to roll as the group has truly became a family. It didn’t take long for the chatter to cease and everyone was asleep as the majority of us didn’t sleep last night. Breakfast was in Greenville, Alabama at McDonalds and lunch for today was at The Varsity located on the north side of Atlanta on Jimmy Carter Blvd. Hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries, onion rings and milkshakes were the top choices for our group. Oh and you know we had to do a little shopping and pick up Varsity souvenirs.<br></p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gQiNDMHz96c/W0-ItkriTvI/AAAAAAAAGb8/HkeuJ_XRizs4K9ACjSX7fb1HsCe-VRQ2ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-9L8-OPSObNo/W0-Ivns9AYI/AAAAAAAAGcA/UEmmC3vJ89QpMuHU-lON2LfOC2BOhPn8QCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p>Over the past 33 days we have had an unbelievable time traveling our country and getting to know each and every one of the travelers. To be on the bus most of the day, the travelers did a great job of passing the time by listening to music, sleeping or watching movies like Land of the Lost, The Shallows, Taken 2 and The Greatest Showman. Those that were awake saw the western part of Texas that included Big Bend and Comanche Country. We also lost another hour, so we are only 1 hour behind North Carolina and our loved ones. </p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfhi7W8mKR-nLgM6NHg9CL17Fk9Qs1yfKyabtqD8oY874rOQp3J-3lHIQ7O9u1QlLFmmWQz_9z3GpCFpy39wAda0YAggata73TA-XoOwl7TTPuitLanoSwZPJaLl5sVGeK7s5X7xiXrZoh/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIv6GPbGBWD3hx1IlDCztxMS_Oj6BQ2crGby3efFYdM9CJoI7rx4XHrYzx-1fKlq-N2REGn0CT5oViSa-OoQmktVTGYICDfdjtBlt0iBVw9bQOThh-bytyYgoV8NaHJwfDP1y7AWIHoEiH/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPOik2Ey_CUzz2kPanV-POFRajo06Z9ld3LB455EHMZH1D_eG-t2WPiULr47P0AmD72uyaQclYPFK0DZoWeS4X_Rs8aBfr4P8RBMev8FWRWNxrNV__hH8QJ3Q-HuiH8umyp-6SAivLl6Ur/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Rno-LIq6_Pk/W0wCtgj_3vI/AAAAAAAAGUc/A2QnGKSXQcss1RVuSSxM89iwGb87dUgeQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg23uJbtDS2SHVBLWbkoiRnClDsvN8F4Sc8v2UW2m_xC50HM8G367zBXuC9vgycNq_L-oVe1qcfdCZPfXjakQDipUnVQkjjJVGoNy-uzASg61fEKBPjSj8bc0mRz-LYHXuooMX1FIV2xQJD/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-rov5qqiDiWY/W0wC6HRh86I/AAAAAAAAGUo/ezRrVzCkpC4j_osWAb8aYSQZGChXES0vQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-So3kHlo9O_w/W0wC_7AkaPI/AAAAAAAAGUw/xOiU6nTu3cck9h6i7kSEprKHi7P_PKWYwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-vII1Y6l36PM/W0wDGMBI3bI/AAAAAAAAGU4/cPTI-1JM6ZgTBYP6u9fazGj6NrYkxCGUACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p><br></p><p>We arrived in San Antonio around dinner time where we checked into the Menger Hotel which is located downtown across from the Alamo. Many of us enjoyed sleeping in a little this morning while spent some time in the gym at the resort. We then loaded the bus to head for El Paso. We stopped for lunch along the way and enjoyed some scenic desert views. Upon arrival in El Paso we checked into our hotel and then loaded the bus for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious authentic Mexican dinner that included flautas, tacos, and enchiladas. They also provided some live music in the restaurant. After dinner we took some time to celebrate our wonderful bus drivers. We presented Ray and Howard with gifts and some nice words prepared by the kids. We are so thankful for them on this trip. They have kept us safe daily, and been a joy to interact with. Tonight we will enjoy a good nights sleep before staying at San Antonio’s most haunted hotel for two nights. We drove into the Tucson country side to the Sonoran Desert Museum. After an orientation by a museum volunteer, the crew started their tour of the museum. Time was spent in the reptile/amphibian room, exploring a real cave, observing rescued desert animals such as a bear and various desert cats, and walking on trails through the giant Saguaro Cactus plants. Along the way there were museum volunteers to give the visitors special demonstrations and hands on opportunities. Strict instructions were given not to hug any cacti! <p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gNbWRdMhx2I/W0o-HZ8j4rI/AAAAAAAAGPw/-a9z20GkoEUX7kxbWU-8IWJTQaV7dcFTACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LRpryOzI1M4/W0o-KTMRLkI/AAAAAAAAGP0/kvucgOCHvb0t2MRXecSUmjwGMSRt8aggACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0yha9MZJBXFsbD733WVYybbxEcljL269XT7N4FmSJTtIr01MSMUorcYbBV1KX0eZq5IJpsOu93SBMl892UVPsoVjvsHkAggsNIkQ2V-STgLKQvKZ9mTq5JPnRxwV-ZghZCvzYZHZQg0Sy/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ys_9WtHp6Uw/W0o-POaWSwI/AAAAAAAAGP8/ZT0HQlxOE3guB1dQOrNcho9EN9NZamgeQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyxLsdcyDGBk08aGtB4mM9aVJwCJkHIwChjia4UT0oHkiik6UQ54SBrp3R8LrNWplo8Y4cDUbm8EC2u_BjjOXcP73Xz94R3BsITeipEQl6ZPi7kdEIEcoDA5-M5aDCXBSpwVgn3mGRURmL/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mTOOyp0UN7c/W0o-Uj4tsfI/AAAAAAAAGQE/D-fGwiqtrPoAq8CMZGd2UG3j1kaYDKZOgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ugqg1juNpdE/W0o-XpL6AjI/AAAAAAAAGQM/RyPX_x30isY5zb4mr4Uj7iesnZ7JRo2RQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-y9GBh92oz44/W0o-aGKEX_I/AAAAAAAAGQU/V9lze5G8SJADTHDavLgbdZWQiqVSuHAtwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwdFZog034eAN0S3LqB6KKC8UjXfFZdMjLwsBRqS6TbUbylXBzWq69VbyUiOiu8BIuJiT6K3uDDE9bGIHyFCe7plBKUoIPU6cwKdRhrKsa2CLd2T0jxmAztkdo6eJGMN0Kx1AEMNMnrtF2/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJTHq1Sc54Gv_NbYxWB5EMujICPJsJhX1IIcsCu-xUXkp7kcUpoxGHeZVM9UiJtjVJdaoq_iCYOmciPvxkfCuLTXdwCC5wj7b06s_MtpUaWVTLcr6qX0EPkTI1gSZM6S-mau5EfSxcRecf/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ujV21QZhL8E/W0o-nrSFDwI/AAAAAAAAGQ4/cXsq1SEEICk2xjX-527FgUNz75hIogSGgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj-4HwIzeeQ-myEHZarS7_PFzifmpnwqsrF9eMW0ZrUHOstohAzDQJ6O3LmjUwls7I4_1s8OWKH17Tw4TpNZvl1WeiNfgtWbEUYgR9QMH1lTlq4FREtoSwuE86gbI-Bmg46Rucp0Vbm01s/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-G4w_ik_TyKw/W0pAJBtHqfI/AAAAAAAAGRY/BVctoQB9CPoBwPUTdutsJfXTrT6Ro8uKACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p>Upon returning to the Wyndham Resort the group had lunch on their own at the resort. Breakfast was eaten around 6:30 this morning with a spread to choose from. Waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes and pastries were the main choices for the travelers. After breakfast, we went back to our rooms to pack our things up before heading out on the Pink Jeep Tour of Sedona. Travelers made their own groups as we had 11 jeeps to fill up and the counselors split among them. The tour took us through the Bear Wallow Canyon on an old busted up road which consists mostly of dirt and boulders now. The road used to connect Sedona to Flagstaff but now is used solely for recreational off-roading. About half way up we stopped to take in the canyon and over view of Sedona. A fun fact about Sedona is that no buildings can be over 2 stories tall, they have to be earthly colors and no fluorescent light can be omitted as it produces light pollution. Crazy but awesome, huh? Our turn around point was Kodak Corner which was named due to the awesome picture opportunity of Sedona. Once back at the hotel we loaded up and headed to Tucson. <p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZP5OQCdX-KU/W0gQT8OnbxI/AAAAAAAAGMM/7xUewi4Ja986YC2PcvNqMn0t207uF_qXQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-GgDOty-LECg/W0gQa06FkjI/AAAAAAAAGMQ/97qd1qza3GU3gIqmvFpP7ZaVbPlNaJw5gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVyGP2JhYmZ1-aUtRPS21IUG7CDeZ_Si89J4YP1tdoVR5CCKqhiH-uXREJq8tTAKEL8T2w-sI3ZPm9SwRJcI0bXxZ-NQlYR8ZUrHQEs9hkDG8jvHsmtTz7v2q36I819wJH91YvienQPU3T/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bbR6QebEs3Q/W0gQsBzvCrI/AAAAAAAAGMk/rBVVlM-I4nAKm12_hiWgZqynENznNFl5gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjggRI8BN93RZkHq5rn1VGBZF_WUsKB8AJ-tzxP0AoGWFyHkSiXvuXZnXQwSkyNkWK7mIlLh3Ply-CZ-Xtlr2BxJnV-yHpnVaFw05By3KGqJScPfRwkMAc0Wp9Lzm1YA97Bfc6GXYZNcqLY/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QEKL66enTn8/W0gQ5muYTpI/AAAAAAAAGMw/GRAIQ_ITOKcVTZZeIkrm_WrnsT48_89bwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JS-9p1oyXRw/W0gRBITw0lI/AAAAAAAAGM4/1CNFICHH6UIMJxvpVHvG0T07KCX6Sc9TACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-kQuSYTkFpNE/W0gRN1AzhJI/AAAAAAAAGNE/LP7YZHYqRCUAueS2NxeLwkbgsa4Ylc55ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xYAmezMizaw/W0gRWuZ1wsI/AAAAAAAAGNM/2pseYrqjrtMt9Icezcx_N6XED-yO_G6dwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1NMfPyAysJGypAod07LiAfE7-RJOdawQ-CC5QFMkzojS8x9Y1xPLIAxMpFX9ixpIJ9-bDYreoxh0facgTgQbyGUhSV-pFYwdD-SlYt5DrfYLmxJwCugUIU8fizW_CknliqGkgh6SnmfzQ/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XMtdZntUop8/W0gRwtOEufI/AAAAAAAAGNY/FJ7-tmbLG54SrXFct-kGI-YVRxTQyMougCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUfs2toHt9wAh7D8pmje0ECT0D6Ih1M33MsPN9cemcb1p5XhEEEpZhLD2Jtw6i4V5w0d7Qyu1HqM7sr7rGzgehcIB5NiCCQQM0VM9GD8eGmn05nUg_V32eR1LxSMcG2w3qvRkcPBOjTrE8/" alt=""><br></p><p>A pit stop for lunch was taken in Phoenix where there was a Whataburger, McDonald’s, Java Juice, Port a Sub and Rosati’s pizza for us to choose from. After a delicious breakfast catered just for us at the hotel, we loaded the buses and headed out of California. The buses are traveling east for the first time in 25 days. Along the drive we stopped for lunch in Barstow, CA. Just outside Barstow the crew got a glimpse of the beginning (or end, if you prefer) of I-40. This interstate runs all the way across the US between Barstow, CA and Wilmington, NC. </p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEGRnuA4vCPauSbI8Zv0cxE485tdniLQWYhfSTK7KivVD3AF0zOyUz0HGhAW42Zpzp5Po0o-IltEIXpC7WnqFK3U6I_gN8G5FwHOcyh0dyj-pHJVQrci16INqCJzysrrUU1fFpNJqfby7y/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgywt_wn3gknUzaj7G8mlyrvXC5_Ww4r1Nn_GWZCRa1vmIM2rU1KfM9he_5NJ5d3tCrgIVGQJlBj7wIxsblDZpYRDqseB14GHNpOxJJnfUn0OofXPNO5GG-OkEmTRk6sqvsByCP0NZR8exJ/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-RnIlODbrlwg/W0W71Zxt2tI/AAAAAAAAGIo/bt6yu3s6SgMEjz8iSuzIftI1xWOF89aUwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmOgYhiXwYoEMcAYNro5UeY1habFvj2OV1ryXdbkq_-NEyhLJ7bnx01wi0aDAtUSln1GqPRnp_8Bo62P8CkbI6ydgF25IMz9fouFD1WJhpCXyliI_mO7hRg0ceSd5lKE3JvvOwrFNEvOos/" alt=""><br></p><p>About one movie length later we could see the large hotels and casinos of Las Vegas rising from the desert in the distance. The crew got a look at some of the Vegas iconic hotels and sights in the daylight on the way to the hotel. After unloading the bags from the bus and changing, the group set off for dinner and a show. </p><p>The miracle mile shopping center located at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino is home to a collection of stores, restaurants, and theaters. We spread out to various restaurants of our choosing. The show we watched was the V Variety Show. It featured a large number of acts including aerial artists, a magician, and even a pair of amazing roller skaters who did a routine on a small makeshift floor. The crew laughed, did the wave, and cheered for their favorite acts! </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2pgnyePfHtc/W0acDZRgMUI/AAAAAAAAGKY/Y2x0wJ5lEmEPZsNdAvXkpr4DwnlCqSD6ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbfIsDGjQ4ErKUpy8eWYYWBOA80DeJ2JOVUd5Qfu7a3kQhs1V3cCQ9Dy3k_HF6YxbR-P0HcvqXNCg8Ag94fcInViwo8EJZ_8JRup0Llvde05cUgMcJKTpSnhXYfujUU-qvPzCSjB3O7-5K/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_MgXQcs3EfA/W0ac9fKm5MI/AAAAAAAAGKw/EPwCrqoHHDYojYO-S-6I6-TrUy9S4JwzwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5NnBkCIv9Fg/W0adAPZikVI/AAAAAAAAGK0/9F8O3Oe_zcY1Kp8qjW-OJw0v0L1ACO9yACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFqivj83nwh273HeK4WLNe8cUag6mGknk8oHVl4-GsxLL-MD63w_tL04MqkvXJAaUS1Cqk_6UX1n3i4tYSi-YHc5A7CR-pesbwD1ppX8e5Rm46C1f2qvarqEQ-XGh0NPMNyQe8v7gecYAO/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGlJ_LsYdX717hBXxRrN414jOFvKAyjuAwCbpP07cx_aGMfOSYfcF7oI3dGBS_xiVcXEMZgrpUTBAA2RsOxbalYhpH_Usc6DHIkSosoe8JJaa9I-spphXuQjyZIp-AKqWXKm68KopjJvrs/" alt=""><br></p><p>We ended the day by driving down the Vegas strip being star struck by the lights, huge hotels, and elaborate architecture of the buildings.</p><p></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-89562418960115595752018-07-09T22:16:00.007-07:002018-07-09T22:22:43.158-07:00Day 24: Anaheim to San Diego<p>Continental breakfast started the day before loading the buses and heading down I-5 to San Diego. The traffic this morning wasn’t near as bad as it has been the past couple days in California. When we arrived in San Diego, the San Diego Zoo would be our first stop. Our group took a tour of one of the worlds largest zoological parks on a double decker bus. On that tour, our guides not only talked about each exhibit that we came upon, but also how we could help prevent the extinction of some plants and animals that were located in the park. After the 30-40 minute bus tour, travelers were given time to walk around the zoo to look at some of the animals that interested them from the bus tour. The most popular exhibits from our group were the gorillas, elephants, pandas and giraffes. <img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglhvbUBVLsXkhLaTaDbnpB-2sWEWKfq7eRXfv-nZC3a48lcayHVsy9RlfViSBUT3B5q42DFLYPVOHj7tpCwSPTFAMVQEuxHHM22NVQjYotnC7gep7yIk2LxjorUSyp37kG0JukPQPwcNY_/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifXjKKDtNKjK4jGIm8Adg-FKPtOgJg0HX4Qv1SZFBG58SVErxgAL7oFCY0nCiEbiGQM0kIwz18p3In6sDCViqi-2-OoYwbUlb7YYqJaoSXFwkfyOHCB_K5Hqt3yVlHfbCj9eW1AyidAabZ/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-rRnbcvjnsRc/W0RAyNWvLFI/AAAAAAAAGFU/_INajv5ueZsGYPd1WjEU5lHeJ82IfojsgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-B1s_siLCN_Q/W0RA1IrXDSI/AAAAAAAAGFY/Dn8PiwaMQ0gPnPRF5Z3LijVvZuh4-d-TACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-j76Oij6WrBo/W0RA5HaKd-I/AAAAAAAAGFc/MH601L67TmABndWMhWt9UYU5DO79A0ZuQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnWwBvTdvoqTx3gJDjHFNSmEVENdWBX_pLy3PonRIahSqHZZvNUGO3foXPk9xb8zB2Z0l-u-c-sZLa0N9_YANZJLUm9BzbVUYN2Ux-MFb4V-N1T8zJ2hNEgt-WGqaiqPGIcirTcPdBH1VC/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-NDj5qVpbb7s/W0RBApNzLzI/AAAAAAAAGFs/413S17eZ7qE3K3MtNDCkTBO6CBog_zxNwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6Fcxv-5CakI/W0RBERyc2JI/AAAAAAAAGF4/9UxaGT9qBuEYDPW7jTNPncmcE-n-muQwgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O-OjJXFairo/W0RBHuUYEHI/AAAAAAAAGGA/FK9bIegk9DAC8pJYA3erGY6-_hbv0nuLwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""></p><p><br></p><p>Our next stop for the day was lunch, which was located in San Diego’s Old Town Historic District. The USS Midway was used from 1945-1992 which is America's longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Approximately 200,000 sailors served aboard the carrier, known for several naval aviation breakthroughs as well as several humanitarian missions. It was the only carrier to serve the entire length of the Cold War and beyond. The group enjoyed roaming below deck, getting inside fighter planes on the flight deck, and even participating in flight simulations.<img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQBYBlv9RncBNkqNOyLLwA-cToO77Oztn1vxzAWrd_eDRfyOVZ05i_dvsA6VmFJCaI8GPQVaJ6mycCHCik-NsV0PiNb94Yc3f3TxkLZZ-5Dnmpq5kcXltBTfMUCWLTvv8O8VGQGGX1QS8N/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Y_f9_pxjfcs/W0RB70ruKBI/AAAAAAAAGHM/O1Nz_2cMogYjAAOBAFCVpKFyAOxPbk7XwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2I6jTCxz7vgQ-Ec1TiPJVvhXCXxQbX4Y1TNC_-Uy9keAbMzaXiCShqJNPNwqjgH7aEDlVuvulLrBNCb6FsP2fk5hpAIUDo9H0k2fUHD23l4FG8njCjaTFw0ISlWgXYSEasNoWarpx3Kh6/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5zY53_iJNMw/W0RCB2mXOMI/AAAAAAAAGHU/Y0uXxyP_JBYSiyv2MOyojNL8Yt3JqDjHACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvCYPWNOMwI880LkemRszCi1erkfAz5s4vJG6NEkoviEi0OweBxRXxQCbSzRLirnnwM4tI11TY31od_qXIQAunnFbsYwCkwUPK2k4NEFO3YgGgmegt67CnMny8P9sS-vhyphenhyphenymae1dS9rUeY/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2lteFDJ1ULU/W0RCHWy5kJI/AAAAAAAAGHc/ftYXMDhG24AevPIhwVhPv7s2vGaGPAifACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-bc-9uiFC4h8/W0RCKcC1Q5I/AAAAAAAAGHk/bXijuEVGevE7N9vZdiMWARJP6bbEdfYlACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""></p><p><br></p><p>Tonight’s dinner was catered in La Jolla. Disneyland was the main attraction of the day. The group was allowed to go in and out of the park at their own will in groups of 6 or more throughout the day. Most went in early trying to miss the heat of the day and the longest lines. Shortly after lunch, the pool at the hotel was getting a lot of attention from various groups looking for a place to cool off. We then left for a city tour on our buses. Our tours were led by guides Martina and Mia. We saw Haight and Ashbury, the beach, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We took a nice walk across the bridge with beautiful views of the bay and Alcatraz. We were lucky weather was pretty warm and the fog wasn’t bad for a San Francisco day. </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-diIGS16fwwU/Wz8FWFzEx6I/AAAAAAAAF9I/qzPr-bLAunMXaPV-HQ82PYYDM0OHq9-EwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AR-hQTvCM_g/Wz8FZsD2D0I/AAAAAAAAF9M/XBsSO89z5sIET8SczewOxAzLxZk4xLnoACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_mErArNDI1c/Wz8Fcj8vaWI/AAAAAAAAF9Q/pDwVTyQFhasr9ouNlR3Ja-XLH5_Y65RfwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbC9bhR6_gcCy7T98n-XvbS2cv3RV1ARGfAX6T0ZSPtRzIkDDNTWRAo-WcXiQ13ujqZ4d1qfudrfqxq26w-CAlXnJc6mNpkYEU3B7remq95zo1uiTh8ADamEcjs2izCAA-P0CZKTtNsTDZ/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcUSvfwUvpR8H5upYmdAKDoknNp9rOgoaxuEPd2siU20OlIq8dCeLH8SZ-sKQn3HmqbLODAPVnaz8ha243sK8XCuF0nx2qYsI3a17RqLtMMKV9wauvmN7HbZqjM4udAlU4Mf9Dshf3zp9g/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-KuHNlSIggno/Wz8Ftyaj7bI/AAAAAAAAF9o/kj-f6kTYpQobHEop7DmW7g-w6TdQv6XXACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HtJID3BrSAs/Wz8Fw4d8svI/AAAAAAAAF9w/BiigtU5StIoI710xUYI2qihTye8O5PFWACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0PjacghW2AsZgo6lkz23RwyiAiNRgEstH3yJ3J58ILRbjf-ueZZhRXdmI5Gp6FWVyo0HzuEetnbXMMpBK8MumqXZF9bphg_UqeSzIAXHzgtl_IN3sfSdQKnEjlQjVjqB0DG2eTOH_aMHL/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRnUpN0u6i01NpSY2njYmXWtNwH9ooZsssBnGDjEu8d4G3p45TD874zl9YtdymoKPqv3DANxxTUNqLLDMf9rt00WaEMbMHcMFyozRjDQ_OxAzN4LuMhoE0_A9Ggk_uKMzysVG4HGbiaOwD/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zBWju9vsc4E/Wz8F7HDT_oI/AAAAAAAAF-A/qB2WBdObqII0tb7o9WXoQY-VK-MY2esHwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zbwWR9By8Xw/Wz8F-S8qqOI/AAAAAAAAF-E/t-GZK-Yy8SYxkzUUbSwn5s6tYQERkyDuQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p>We ended our tour with some free time in Sausalito. Today, group activities started later. There was a continental breakfast served from 6:30-9:30AM that most of the group indulged in. Some utilized the late morning to sleep and others to explore the Fisherman’s Wharf area. At 11:30 we boarded the buses and ventured across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco to Oakland, CA. We attended the baseball game in Oakland and had the pleasure of watching the Oakland A’s beat the San Diego Padres in the last inning.</p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-U-scMoRQ79U/Wz3GWXc0LjI/AAAAAAAAF7M/bVJ3lAse_skUGIIfJJCKpJjaqPmMsv4igCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LqHNm1BI4Qk/Wz3GZ1o2rfI/AAAAAAAAF7Q/1DwF2uXwVigE3ja_VoM-NJ7slsoOHdiWwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDRp7FF_dfZAjjnJdsSx4JN_5FQJrFdjnI9_3gOxZVunFzrGeXRDPeepzsIjkueMlw181oxsE6KfnsXVoYWYv5d7lfKLWDY7Rytpek09Vdx-HwmNgMYPdkQrNpwiVAULun4XxFmW6aKRoX/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-C0VCOBHJHaM/Wz3GkGla7BI/AAAAAAAAF7c/2BOQjISb1XUXHtWmou0KJoyGZLmZcuNmgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-B2zA0kbLOlU/Wz3GoMQu3PI/AAAAAAAAF7o/PeEIOWQ1oJoS0Rp-nVFv4hG8rfs2_BKKQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""></p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdSWBOR9QN-whJAoCWlJkkdXNx0CST-yTPV0i6tUiN9CBIm7z7GTvAjWguoLqXapPINjZxSlVsGPtHegBc8V0pwTKBWDDwKryoNTkuqLlsrWZJJ-y1qlOfQtJm0VKGA1tXXW5zjMoC0tfZ/" alt=""><br></p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qHvaNxYslLg/Wz3GrojcHNI/AAAAAAAAF7w/Wpion1dmlU0NnMmC1h5r5RtaNF9Rm2gpQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-maT4JNMpM0g/Wz3GsJ9jBBI/AAAAAAAAF70/r5bfIu7F8toG3xaqNGCnPqCj6Nu6NnD6gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p>Upon returning to the hotel the crew was allowed to split up in groups to get instructions for the free time they would be given the next day. Well we are all veterans at getting up and in the bus before the sun rises now. The loading crew got started at 5:30 this morning and when we got all packed up, we were on our way to San Francisco, California! Breakfast was a short distance down the road at McDonald’s in Brookings, Oregon. Everyone was patient as they did a fantastic job of getting all 81 travelers, 5 counselors, a tour director, a tour owner and 2 bus drivers our food, fed and out the door in approximately 45 minutes. <p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Our first stop of the day would be at The Avenue of the Giants inside The Greig Grove of The National Redwood Forest. We found ourselves among clover patches, a fern filled forest and the biggest standing and fallen Redwood trees we have ever seen before. We took advantage of a path into the woods that led us on a short hike, only to come back to the beginning to take pictures, and climb and sit on the fallen Redwoods. The trees were so big that the travelers had to help each other onto the fallen trunks to even sit on some of them. One group of guys even connect arms to wrap themselves around a standing Redwood. You could hear our group from a distance away as the joy and laughter echoed throughout the forest. The Redwood stop ended with a group picture. After lunch and food bellies, due to the rest area not having plumbing, the travelers found themselves napping until we arrived in San Francisco. </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SZPu4Rs0dKU/WzxQEoJ0gjI/AAAAAAAAF5Q/0SBlzpWgjs4LuqYmaXSWct38bDXV_45VACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DLAyroPAaYk/WzxQIPxEboI/AAAAAAAAF5U/nhlqr0t_6QAPpgUNOpMEauxobjzdl-OYgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hw8n4ncOg5M/WzxQLVjTz7I/AAAAAAAAF5Y/wIMDoiHFjxw8H_Oy9XgMvxDAwT8WFuJsQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-JBnu2Bn7pnA/WzxQPut6fPI/AAAAAAAAF5c/pXc2ZTjoMQ4Rp1DkOhty_JiYZuFL1em5ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-rT2uxUTe9Sk/WzxQS_DpLKI/AAAAAAAAF5g/9qWRzYJzwSACjTu5x3_ZDJzQxWjnXFgMgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-M2hXUQtXZe8/WzxQXIA1OFI/AAAAAAAAF5o/VPu8h_CJLT0ByCn3v8hXjnT5WgZroi-nwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgj1BbKgMXfDi6epKCxhUjbgyKGZ6S3NLDMrb18F8bhv6ywoMhQeagBQKlebiDc5J1lM0ECclhrM6_GEkte97s6hNIzpsl_F1f4VmxqyctHi50eK-Siml8EgY3js4aDunEtMNJN-xFbqt1g/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mmt93MIL_7Q/WzxQfoEd84I/AAAAAAAAF58/m6aIOx9TFD4WHl8nahGLLoipEVRqXbplwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-wMv0rUyl5SY/WzxQj-06tWI/AAAAAAAAF6I/1glhjtxlIkkMhcRNvBeaYjcYgQ9i9v5zwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3Pfry8acCuM/WzxQpLfpjpI/AAAAAAAAF6Q/lPY-dp-WpCg6eaM80tXSO8n4pGROY8ROgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hWViMsSWogM/WzxQsg6VgwI/AAAAAAAAF6Y/rm0Z-Lut234Jt1joTBAvIZfr3fdUwKiewCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XQ8ZEQggEwU/WzxQvoVUQEI/AAAAAAAAF6g/Dj-HCZnnauAnecCqxeVckNL3paJEW3KugCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PExEBQl-fNU/WzxQ0OPU9MI/AAAAAAAAF6o/q5hMQ0p_ONo2WPCKcBKsFTlfHJgpSiF-gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgRAddEZ40xUKNKawyOFaMD0fepEes4VZMTlwZ_bbtF07U-7-Lr9pfXodKxbwwt4KmBybr2VMj9mdiBbw5OZTU9DuI-krzZnRewUGd8HZV9j5uny0ubEo4gNI2WF-nhfQiJ16nnKxsy7opR/" alt=""><br></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-78020291098969047702018-07-03T08:06:00.000-07:002018-07-03T08:06:10.680-07:00Day 17: Seattle to Gold Beach, OR<p>We started our morning in Seattle Washington by having breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn. We then hopped on the bus for a new day of adventures! We drove through Washington and into Oregon while seeing some beautiful scenery. We stopped for lunch in Cottage Grove, Oregon and we drove past Portland, Oregon. When we arrived in Gold Beach we saw some amazing views of the pacific coastline. When we reached Jot’s Resort we had had a delicious BBQ dinner at which we had birthday cake. We celebrated all the birthdays that take place during the trip and of course sang happy birthday to them all. We then enjoyed the rest of our night with some music from an amazing local DJ. Some of our kids showed off their smooth dance moves, some joined in on some line dancing, and others participated in a couple of dance offs. The night was full of dancing and good times.</p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuhvk7g8rYJ3Lf2Ez5kHeTuqQEouEUEQffQBgEqsHy8OUF7FRTcouDIWEkKD8_noWWnbBEayK0n632HmEDGxtym7m-9UAtdSpI8VvkDmVL1t7IsMe6s8YAGeaBAHxY2mlixnmQe9HUZwD3/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9IMYFSsuKVoHuY0AoNe5lORtkiHZyZQeYGlvrSdPN9b6QAGPnveltSUycl21I6VUk1kQlJRauJ5_nbtao7AszgMhjsQ38rdgcNlF7SNtrJ9c1OstbyB5ML2-r8WBRsJJNrbH3apgUTG9T/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSB2fsJzR9lw-27fOoREqonWxtZExjBPvU6QVIMQzYOIbtQpT5DLdO-2AnSkmT_4xUX12PcCo9DjD3AB_cypgeeu5_na45Q5O8b9LVlh3bPJ2Y7TlU0w3zmvkTA3ISWz6T6WTW2GdMLzie/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6sHO8jJQuC4/WzuQmO8TJPI/AAAAAAAAF24/Tz8njVo9dmkSfPiuZTL-YdifIMQ1PY_iACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WWOrVBAYRh0/WzuQp5YZ0gI/AAAAAAAAF28/P5oNn7jchN4KFzeRHWJKYC0LXC7vgqdPwCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ofcVqqSX_7g/WzuQuHRR_gI/AAAAAAAAF3A/oedivAz4oFs63z8rCL_XUyEqyd59C_M9gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd0-vb1T1LqqYLi9uJ8DmtZqStBF9H3fuq48Zu0_T_MDBPlZIACUnZtG0hL4tMC5EsqZ9wGZ-JBq3XN7F1iTbzrxtjI1iLGXeqDY9vFtlEj05yhFGrEdxLZ8oqT0vPTKtY7N7LBwuh9kTG/" alt=""><br></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-16128764129390334942018-07-01T20:54:00.005-07:002018-07-01T21:15:31.855-07:00Day 16: Seattle, WA<p>Our day in Seattle started with a trip up the Space-needle. We rode the elevators in groups approximately 500 feet into the sky to the observation deck. Normally we would eat breakfast in the restaurant atop the needle. However, since the needle is undergoing some construction to put a glass floor in the restaurant we ate breakfast at the hotel before starting our day. Upon exiting the elevator at the top of the Needle our groups were greeted with a view of the city through the glass walls around the rotunda. Outside on the observation deck we could lean against the newly installed glass walls to get an unobstructed view of the city and bay below. Some conquered their fears stepping onto glass seats to take photos.</p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Le3mT2_7zAs/Wzmg0SOQqJI/AAAAAAAAFxc/6tVEYYPjeAEwrSgekkcNNzUIPHtVZpmNQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ooROeDEr-XI/Wzmg8ccKMlI/AAAAAAAAFxg/PJLtdBePzicr05lOxzyyY2ppHqVE0ZB-wCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-62n7L6Od0Bo/Wzmg_cI13DI/AAAAAAAAFxo/bvwlTdZbrwAadKr_M4dCOiT5pGwPmA44gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD956eQU4oFSzRLRp2dgbfciiJUzujbY08t07gHSjU4DECkgJoIxbvoW4VzDoUB1s_jkvjY38Jfncy-_eZLwjCJkDF5VaoSl2pqAabnXzCczsphDQO_3iIRUYTTHel-voLVVCLCbx3mAPK/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmnuvXdMH8x0AGovs-OYl7yA_ypNmvU8xv4AbKWvWvzzSrkgsN0P8Y53dD4zFT42Av8fkjLkLdzJehdYWL3Uj622vBt-e1daP8p8CIs-UiVoWOYlLEmmCTFlGjUjXYAYvDtgubenOXHTfQ/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiO6JoES5h3lvaWmV6iJG93tirqg4VtphvDjDrHd_6eCMfe-bLsDMjAAMuenu8XNdY6ROy48cPgbINt1JwGGeTuz0XgplNWCGRTtZMaj4R9CucQD-cZQpoEoSQC2ihdAlF18deUep8_TPx3/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-YPNUvKZL1uo/WzmhKbLwvQI/AAAAAAAAFx8/Un662kuDZcgmtQ0NRGZsazxJ6ieyZrBZgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ra8jOz7-qjs/WzmhNJvaDnI/AAAAAAAAFyA/YZtuRVwYFGEMs_sAYAOXFR6Bb_Jl-aC3wCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvV4j80fRGdZTjRbloYu0-YJvELnh83t5MRhlzQ4KzMB-BtuKiW1HadvYG4_eRKYaDNLJi3hZFAKaG2WYipBR4rQUjbY9HoEGh8XcUDMp2N6e8bOlMR0GqJT-z7OBjnBR-tai5PBZX9edH/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5q41FUkJYcI/WzmhUJZVVQI/AAAAAAAAFyM/OJX4bChv6xsWMsXoCrCEnWkvkmY0LH7QACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BWBXQrb0xr4/WzmhW7pFceI/AAAAAAAAFyU/g_OvmzPD9ZwhThwr3ob8-nB8VFeABpGygCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQtjt74lAGUnGu6A9jeQN2ljPbHOMrtadLW8Lc4cz8GQlNgG0kWtVG6f7_635EyAS1jQ52UCdDYmDZXmnU9RbJ7Yxn3hwxTGDP2WHDTWYVchtfylxE_UJ_fYJ5WO-gFO878tcyiZSpF7Z6/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEigRIWpkkY8ercy0XkuuCXClPfyYANLDJ8tgu2OxDnL31LaAMRTJOB7XTmsCv-v7ALmSnICDN4fW5FRSQ28yYw3ZDcCGIJgAvqObPII5pWx6WkbDRN0V35l5roNduMraZmrcgChQIL1KCxh/" alt=""><br></p><p>The second activity of the day was a guided bus tour. Good news is, the travelers were able to get some rest on the long trip through Montana, Idaho and into Washington before reaching our final destination of Seattle. Once in Idaho, we gained an hour, which puts us 3 hours behind North Carolina. We did make a few pit stops at rest areas, one that included coffee, cookies and popcorn for a donation to a Veteran. Our lunch stop was in Ellensburg, WA where we were all on our own for lunch. McDonald’s, Subway, Carl’s Jr., Arby’s and a local Mexican restaurant were the most popular choices. <br><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DmU0tvFdkJo/WzhsXxOT-VI/AAAAAAAAFv4/fulMvhGBbNQ__s6FySGwp75AGp8a3MJeACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhozBXgNL5QKZFGlesv9-1WMBuWYi0mGJbrU7nRSugWTLNjYjY6_MjK2jtRIukUjIFGjRTkAwCKplvm25MpYc3epjRYFGy3CZoPj-GkfkF8cfL6HTzOAusO_5vreTyZoM-5ccfd_yu9vaEY/" alt=""><br></p><p>When we arrived in Seattle, we stopped briefly at the hotel where we picked up Bob, a local guide who provided loads of information about the city including the location of the Greys Anatomy hospital, Safeco Field, Century Link Field, the Space Needle and many more popular buildings on the way to the Museum of Pop Culture. The architecture of the MOPOP building was fascinating but the exhibits in the museum were just as amazing. Two special exhibits were devoted to Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana, plus they had exhibits for Indie Games, Horror, Science Fiction, Fantasy and an exhibit where travelers could play different instruments and make their own music video. </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UiHrB98ZPHw/Wzhs_GZ_IBI/AAAAAAAAFwI/vKJNSrP76KcqYWpt5w6D-AIzccjdCrHsQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-YYdOjS1-xxM/Wzhtzcdb3oI/AAAAAAAAFxQ/Q-h3IvyXa-sy2CzSKKlGopwxn86_SQFYACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-UZgy3n1YURI/WzhtDGEAvTI/AAAAAAAAFwM/YnBA-LiCvNwsCOU14nWQ8_RcSq8kPm4GQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK9_ZKhri37cb4pWjjGkI4QuI44PkNnx1F4EpobFYxmSFxI9XKB4SER1HXhLtTSFGzqPcxOicP-rwiL-MAF3SKPKpIp7W1uiZQgpwQnUvHgJMtla-IAn2V-6dbUQ-sdhTWRxQaQRRhRbq4/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-DbtvXZlI_7I/WzhtJ-XBZFI/AAAAAAAAFwY/PoLm-UdX9PcwKaFSjUaTF9iSg5iI8IEVgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gZL3qTHoboQ/WzhtNK2BoQI/AAAAAAAAFwc/cB3aGEUFankcuteJy8zuQVxHJbrkUguVACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-PEVSpPYR9jA/WzhtQjWiusI/AAAAAAAAFwg/BWz99YGrONM_3Ys3YpWCL3isHeL1JL-TgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nkIEzhIN6iM/WzhtUJfEGoI/AAAAAAAAFwo/D2nQuaeFMh45UUBj0WztrjV1bj9wwNzAgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhik1Yif6H3_icOkXFH4koaD8OVlTUejgPAt64fqF_jJXydbbrzs5jUoMs9FaHu1sGl5ckXx6ABbYd7jcpXAux0Zg7gbpwQfB7xCH5rlDCtoTTTBsEhWTGmJlkW7AvICyBVYVqpNpT3O5S0/" alt=""></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-38815320850019874332018-06-30T09:31:00.000-07:002018-06-30T09:31:22.954-07:00Day 14: Big Sky to Polson, MT<p>We started our morning with another delicious breakfast at the ranch. It may have been raining a bit, but we still enjoyed seeing the horses brought across the road before heading to Polson Montana. We enjoyed a picnic lunch at a rest area on our way to Polson. Upon our arrival at Polson we got ready for a thrilling white water rafting trip. While rafting we took on three rapids. The two main rapids were called the Buffalo and the Eagle. After tackling the rapids some of us took a refreshing jump in the water. We ended our day by having dinner at our hotel. The dinner was a delicious Indian taco bar. While eating we sat on the patio overlooking Flathead lake. It was gorgeous view of the sunset that we enjoyed while walking along the pier until time for bed.</p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-IjIVU-xbWVE/WzeoeYjHZ3I/AAAAAAAAFuQ/axELOKCzYIkZhvflyy82wG5d2m1G6syqQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ywDKE5yCEts/WzeomCiMjPI/AAAAAAAAFuU/y2zbrJdCMw0uTNzPxQgz7d2pxbLFshFrQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgO6rutVaNzzlqGHXkgPDaFRkQsDvVeMiWJ3CbZ6P1v8joMDFraqXiHBpumq_mkpynktp0HLUQw4ykmMzbnoHW1t9QEXTgW4OnFlBzsTOI-XX6kpzZ-D47HBnE_ibbAdxSkjhcH6SYxKSOz/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k6T-C4vQAl4/WzevoYaCIzI/AAAAAAAAFuo/c3kTcn5lt2oi7FIvk5xqAAISPdwQpkTUQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-qE0rwxXBSMM/WzevtsY7efI/AAAAAAAAFuw/b3qEzYHLURwSQsKP8irR4vF0qNgFtwdewCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-X-4a1slDIDc/Wzev0MtXbrI/AAAAAAAAFu8/LST0CLs06ZM4L39Lb7Jo1rFGq3Zd7kplgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH9SqSd-VqxdWdi00q6up00zSNupPxLzzzE-SS2KhI86XK-Xlestv_titjowzIcujFAVX5pcxFd8rToNTJVtOWDJUZoMfbQyocXqI8nSM4TFVeqIsdGpcVuVOPzHIt6t9FYWSSckR-90j1/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A8Z1DZMocMQ/WzewAZC90rI/AAAAAAAAFvM/WDVp3y0MS-oDiWuWbC-td9K5fFLdoHD9ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QNbhfzb-tts/WzewCumb0yI/AAAAAAAAFvQ/9fnP22lRiF007nidV0KGh8K-YEfGwz15QCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nVQxgkQGORQ/WzewFOAXFcI/AAAAAAAAFvY/mW2ofJZWJjAgDvjqjZ7mgzBrOTnelvuigCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzYzoJZ35QBJO6ixCunTc12QuRhhsNcP8MuwEapb9LviCTM9jCTNHBNmO1iaXdcpjwzkFrCRFIPVYPZUdRemLx39FAe5N-cnXyzY9O7M501zeAEJURB6Yre-dAnH_Rln8Rmn1C7gt5JzeY/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNKhK8Zu5uDqoPLXdNm6vmjTrRwsmjHyiM7M5Z8bRi3qkVgA6Mgx-ErbKBE-qZGdGulWo4Uw6UwLQ-l59WbVEZLrClTqTizGVJyOwPXz5t2pK-J7_Q3lLqwhE-N8aj3AZg5FIVW1B6ZF4O/" alt=""><br></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-29361321583595198682018-06-29T12:32:00.000-07:002018-06-29T12:32:38.327-07:00Day 13: 320 Guest Ranch, Montana Day 2After a delicious breakfast in the dining hall the group loaded the buses and got on the way to West Yellowstone. What a beautiful place to wake up and get the day started; from the sound of the beautiful Gallatin river roaring, to the view of blue sky rising over the Madison mountain range. Travelers had a full agenda for the day. After breakfast, they would embark on a 2 hour horseback ride through the mountains, hike down the valley located behind the ranch along a fast moving creek, and enjoy playing icebreaker games. Split into three different groups, travelers participated in all of the activities at different times in the day. At 11:30 a.m. MDT, burgers and hotdogs were served for lunch along with cowboy baked beans and spicy potato salad. Travelers then split back apart to take part in their next two activities before dinner was served down by the Gallatin river. Red and white checkered table cloths covering picnic tables, a camp fire burning, and a musician walking around playing a guitar and singing set the perfect dinner atmosphere. Steaks, barbecue chicken, potato salad, cowboy baked beans and cornbread were served for dinner with s’mores for dessert. </p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5tTMCSI9p1bkmuzxVMTy9Cc7DiPCGksm6UvFMPPPGii_1IVmy7swMETv-h5YxPaV6bS4qRk7GDsXjN4RfefOCu4PjwE6r0oLK1nxYpLzU9izb3zccs09Sw0OO87cjbEqc8J-MKeFGkvxi/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKX636VpUROjT-bp4aZL8ok0TCQQ10VR0k1owk9qQp969OICmB9RZfJLbqgl0rCDf44GD-9zVjuPaFE-3SY7peu68lLJ3MN2LCPptw0N4n6A1013gF_6YkdudvAugyN_8GCZVkLYt9CCYo/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm3FaKwcvl7xbJMH09lYs5ACpWq6cXQO1d9UJAj-FUQSMkATDd8y0yp2VBYs4KEFIq2JhAIH94JKc0N0ctkhKmkqnNxO1isBS5K7bT3pRg9_viVmDTIChOvUKLURkeS9dh1xDc1GJnz9sn/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Ia7swe6MVhA/WzRJ68il84I/AAAAAAAAFkA/hlo0HNbz8bs08U4A2R_I2lygkF-uNOzygCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-juKW9KL0F1k/WzRKTu4vhoI/AAAAAAAAFkM/Roeyw_y6fnEahIbeKlka3hu6EkUnOTyYgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E6xXRggh8rQ/WzRKcFr3f8I/AAAAAAAAFkQ/HhTzcCcKYhUC_vqNOEFiMfUJV2x9liDxQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-YcRioFf9or8/WzRLXdpqbVI/AAAAAAAAFkk/NJIs_jt77uIizcx11xy9Lqh7TMPIo40lQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-zhzFec_kOnM/WzRL62Agi0I/AAAAAAAAFkw/xr2jQJ2filcSNI5xsbzRvnjqHJPNVcE5gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-B9DDrgQpJUI/WzRMFD0pRhI/AAAAAAAAFk0/_CSSmuqur6kKYlQ3ynTYl8vyy9i3FjPTQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-oHQb9gfnAN622cPec05r69LW9xeZ_a555zIvpoVa3KLJt6q6qk2fjtQW9qavN3jm7iYe6tYXS15EMqTdtcYzr9TMwOkSpapx_2z9xDN38oX05n13AUL4wv8pkG0FkGeK44KEsR9XrD-G/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifnc7svsd5W3feLLS1kehw_2ENOlN5eKGeTRY9AvqSRbCcbghQfA-0JkMe0ZEQheqgv8s1Kfk0RR93iXz5oUze-qJ-RuyH2Tb6ZT6taOVdE8J7s10x20nso1wLH07iNWiTooX3o4BZIF7P/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-LGEScmfrLn8/WzTl2MDTqWI/AAAAAAAAFlU/8EOPLlnS_m0D5N3lmXpqeJEQ7xFMmD8DQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEged35_2Ubcg-3sY6gIK3znw96kVIVNUdGdfXFqk2oo1L22Kp9VKoFcmZdxPQgFgAZrYgF3ny7I408Het_U_ng_FQZ5T4Z-VhiN6c86jnQiK8mwoETZ3I1-Kxt1Xa_VjELB6ihU5Fw4IfWj/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzZPwiCJvgDwfTuwz0gcYfKplY7fbNqZwZyuV8vVQ7gYyF5nBeg-RiCuD8JJ94V0zyVS1ow-ZVjBdQt-MQ4KV7hHCMWbZwLY5Q2QzSPrmBh7ZWss6pvgIpGmjt4DMwflJlnzrVW7PI4zla/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--z4yA5Eings/WzTn_i3FMpI/AAAAAAAAFmo/AWQpBHuFoRMAg6HfhDW_-AkUy-M8PxZcgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Era4GWht9NM/WzToHAlhOPI/AAAAAAAAFmw/LmrVVuicSkA6hnfggen8WLJtAVjbEG1MQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-31931962426523084952018-06-27T06:10:00.000-07:002018-06-27T06:10:26.416-07:00Day 11: Jackson to the RanchLeaving Jackson Hole this morning was a bittersweet moment for many in the group. We left wishing for more time in the enchanting small town wedged between the mountains. Yet we were looking forward to the next few days on a true Montana guest ranch. On the way out of town we drove parallel to the Grand Teton Mountains and stopped for some pictures at an overlook. <p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1UVagrj8fLM/WzM5_uirtCI/AAAAAAAAFhg/Y3XXOZpMnfQHJNk27NJHD7uBTkA2IAIYQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjl9qD_ifq-sTrsI8Luiv3s0wtdLsTOLgR-Q2EahcoUXYuQ-KHpMKfQvBWreAnJfwLwln8bAMYEkIOxuPQv0OWyIpBU_1RNPrzGMsb4QCBoq2YbPYT9UO8u6dRoIYFYOywpwcGH-3HXQuEv/" alt=""><br></p><p>A few short miles later we entered Teton National Park; we have to drive through this national park to get to Yellowstone. We enjoyed the drive alongside a river and took in the panoramic view of the mountains around us. Once inside Yellowstone National Park (the oldest of the US national parks) we stopped for a rest stop beside a beautiful clear lake. Other stops were the mud pots where the group took a small hike through a quite rotten-smelling area of bubbling ponds of mud and water, a picnic lunch, Artist Point, and Old Faithful. Artist Point is an overlook that juts out over the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone from which we could see the many colors of the smaller Grand Canyon and a beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately, Old Faithful was not incredibly faithful today and went off before the estimated time posted at the visitor’s center. This meant only some of the group was able to catch her in action while many others were busy checking out the lodge or shops and had not made it to the viewing area yet. We all had a lesson in the unpredictability of nature today. </p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZ4UqtiorVPjgctYlIMdWxyNqFGtfUqWh1_oMwwgf3N6f_Um5P1rJ_StW2YurE4Il4WDMd81FGRtZ1POxmuH1ze_LiFQwFoCrOwxVDr2i1oveAUkxUj03nQ4_hqaY8MHOPZxpTfR2tDW0W/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-c1jgVix85JM/WzNCpXPJkPI/AAAAAAAAFiE/GkAs9JWxg_4wTXzg6RadY117VqdjfaDpgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicITUCSNshTOmKkaUN8RzAfhqEOHjz_1UACIviutQHgO6RGKF9MDZo6tBBe4BEXNYCnEMP97siDyHIBPdMt-XD_1M4CrjLH1_D4IctiUge0o8H4fWuRWO9cFAnusLm_CRI3MyYQqTPVuKJ/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-lajmyfKaxqU/WzNDNB8R0fI/AAAAAAAAFiQ/XCggBiF1U6wYhUaStBgCQZtAhr6M-uBCgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAlAJNFp-clQLm_Yuvorr3G46Z256n10fOLzXez8W9s3vy2kVo7bpH-B88jQL8LKRTmdHUTj5f02mbZ9DGu26Q07bhWSAsDZ9ymYQGK3Qp2GkuQ-7RTp2FgqP3S9Rbk_Xk5tpceBeZjoaV/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGQtQhQoQ5_HO9ciCuCpKuBhv-v6q9UOVu8hwE32h6cnJYPF70WqD6xtXtHyZStQd3ESSQdvp6TzWafXS0F5tplNbBlzDpfX3VWqSfEGzMF_LO5hexHPm9CZU8oAUaRqNM3h2nOhuMy4GJ/" alt=""><br></p><p>The highlight of the day for most of the group was getting to the 320 Guest Ranch. The play was full of twists, turns, excitement, and some crowd participation. After enjoying the wild western fun we all returned to the Antler Inn for a good nights sleep.</p><p><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCtAzopyJPMgZ7J4Sp8kt-IqeMURzUGlRwOUEAVBFcd6VnNGbtWEVpBpWAXDDP_ioNf2DddRPHxscRsyrlSzSPVQ0XBVFn7nYMKrGsyi6ycQOfod_QiIahrxh1UTaCpJBxAjV3-wAae-ou/" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgETRSLEsCinrCcbLJTWfEOD02PHwVbv0Z8FdT2VfmTift1ZdFofoSKaKdBJ43A9tqhemPKs1fsL3LYhPy2vuK22mEhaaZ1PGMFKLO4Gfbx_jdgtV3e1nTaGaOZZdApfZvpW8L8rnW-rE1o/" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-nZaaEd4kSLk/WzMsQaErGgI/AAAAAAAAFg4/ho6Kw_Cz2ygplXS0FWwl4rLvyIn7INBzgCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-OBRuqbRDjhQ/WzMsZ22xObI/AAAAAAAAFhA/SOqLIAJcp6IpCB8sRYJ0kTBROx1xtVI6wCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-xiuIlSgHikc/WzMs7vl-QQI/AAAAAAAAFhU/epV2TYI7b-k-pIi5pGFzGyvnc8RaaGZ8wCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5300092415692080840.post-57084042713613568702018-06-24T19:15:00.008-07:002018-06-26T00:19:15.361-07:00Day 9: Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole, WyomingDay 9 began with a continental breakfast at the Comfort Inn in Salt Lake City that had a good spread to choose from. The loading crew for today did a fantastic job of helping the ladies carry their suitcases across a grassy area this morning. What gentleman we have on the trip! <br><p><br></p><p>It only took us a few minutes to arrive at the Mormon Temple Square where the travelers had about 20 minutes to explore before entering the Tabernacle to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the organist. </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TjmB_kovAWc/WzBQylbKZqI/AAAAAAAAFcU/3zPh9MbK4y4aI8ntZ2hDB9nVAhO6YwL7gCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-if8O9ix7KhA/WzHojtIc9qI/AAAAAAAAFdg/Ahw-h2SzDjM6kTtxSLhC9lGWx4KH5fsLQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/--lL8t7-UByo/WzHonwtADrI/AAAAAAAAFdk/E15zpwC4j1AxUWgFxey7WhVAVZzH--o8ACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Z5ozWUB8jUo/WzHorjeVoiI/AAAAAAAAFdo/4UL894OYqp0o_yfZ7YMuXVk25q3N_UlAACHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><br></p><p>Travelers got their volleyball teams today right before we stopped in Logan, UT for lunch. Looking down on the lake from atop the mountain, the water was a beautiful crystal blue and a great place for pictures. What a great group of travelers and counselors! The Paris Tabernacle is beautifully positioned on Bear Lake. A tour guide gave us a short history about the Mormons in the Idaho area, and told us about the architecture of the building. One fun fact is the ceiling of the Tabernacle is made out of the hull off a boat. </p><p><br></p><p>Final stop Jackson Hole, Wyoming! The Snake River led us right to the base of the Teton mountains where we would arrive at the Antler Inn located in the middle of town. Travelers then raced to their rooms to put their belongings up so they could head out in the town to find dinner and look around. </p><p><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-0eMyx1zr1VI/WzBScU4VHDI/AAAAAAAAFdM/_8DVtNgip7sBd8QqCmh_sRj0yqyqrWliQCHMYCw/%255BUNSET%255D" alt=""><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5AMRWnpcITBnNbSjrXtZhh9ew5MUvNMc4mlhuRJD0yf7z-eAxZj4RL2tN8u92Vxbha2R8gQEiySL7CTU8FvKF7xA8hFS_mJfoY3A8KxFaA4Jgg2J85_QNQADPIrca3xFc_ETfegAQHB4k/" alt=""><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10613984563907593368noreply@blogger.com0
