Day 28: Tucson, AZ

The group boarded the buses at 8:30 after breakfast on their own. We drove into the Tucson country side to the Sonoran Desert Museum. After an orientation by a museum volunteer, the crew started their tour of the museum. Time was spent in the reptile/amphibian room, exploring a real cave, observing rescued desert animals such as a bear and various desert cats, and walking on trails through the giant Saguaro Cactus plants. Along the way there were museum volunteers to give the visitors special demonstrations and hands on opportunities. Strict instructions were given not to hug any cacti!

Upon returning to the Wyndham Resort the group had lunch on their own at the resort. Some enjoyed a nice sit down meal at the resort restaurant while others ordered food in to the hotel. The afternoon was filled with tennis, basketball, and lots of swimming.

An Italian dinner was served poolside complete with salad, breadsticks, and ice cream sundaes for dessert. We rounded out the night with more pool time.
