Day 9: Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Day 9 began with a continental breakfast at the Comfort Inn in Salt Lake City that had a good spread to choose from. The loading crew for today did a fantastic job of helping the ladies carry their suitcases across a grassy area this morning. What gentleman we have on the trip!

It only took us a few minutes to arrive at the Mormon Temple Square where the travelers had about 20 minutes to explore before entering the Tabernacle to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the organist.

Travelers got their volleyball teams today right before we stopped in Logan, UT for lunch. After grabbing lunch, they rushed to Walmart to choose a team name and uniform. We, the counselors, are looking forward to seeing their uniforms for the tournament!

Bear Lake would be our rest area stop for the day. Looking down on the lake from atop the mountain, the water was a beautiful crystal blue and a great place for pictures. What a great group of travelers and counselors! Not to mention we added one today.

Next stop would be at a Mormon tabernacle in Paris Idaho. The Paris Tabernacle is beautifully positioned on Bear Lake. A tour guide gave us a short history about the Mormons in the Idaho area, and told us about the architecture of the building. One fun fact is the ceiling of the Tabernacle is made out of the hull off a boat.

Final stop Jackson Hole, Wyoming! The Snake River led us right to the base of the Teton mountains where we would arrive at the Antler Inn located in the middle of town. Travelers then raced to their rooms to put their belongings up so they could head out in the town to find dinner and look around.
